A visit to Holocaust museum

I visited the Holocaust museum in Budapest and this one was worth the visit. They had a synagogue which was converted into a Holocaust museum.

It showed the complete history of the holocaust even before WW II.

What was interesting was the way they had designed the museum. It showed videos, pictures and lots of artifacts belonging to Jewish People. The closest to a picture of holocaust I have seen is in the movie "Schindler's List".

One day I will visit Aushwitz concentration camp.Things to do in my list.Just not this time :)

Some pictures from the museum.

View inside the museum taken in night mode. The ambience added to the mood.

Missing :(

There I was walking alone in the streets. In such a romantic city.Missing something.Dont knw what.May be a hand to hold on to :(.

A funny incident or not

I was hungry after the whole process of managing to reach my hotel. Was thinking of having some snacks.Nothin better than French fries. But how to ask them as nobody knows english. Somehow in one shop I saw a picture and pointed towards it.The shop owner gave a nod and said some strange name.I am not even sure what is language spoken here.

Bye the way to the so called funny part.I was dressed up like a tourist with a backpack, camera hanging from my neck and map in other hand. The curious shop owner asked me from where was I? I told him from India.Ok everything's fine that he knows India atleast. Then what's my purpose.(well the whole discussion happened in sign languages and a bit of broken english here and there which is difcult to write over here :D ).I said "On my company visit".Now that was really difficult to explain via sign langguage. So here comes the magic. He was billing on his computer and I said "Software". There was a smile on his face."Oh Software".Kool , I was successful in making him understand my purpose or really. Still the funny part has not come.SO there he says "You are lucky".Now what does he mean."In India people are hungry and you have the pleasure to eat so many things".

Now that is India my friends.A land of snake charmers,Naked kids running on the streets, saints, hungry people. What to say, I could not explain him better via either broken english or sign languages. I simply said "you are right" by giving thumbs up.

Jan Wright

People who watch Discovery channel religiously need not be told about the person mentioned above. For the others, he is the host of the show "Globetrotters" now aired mostly on Travel and living.

Travelling in budapest made me feel like him. That was one of my dreams to be a travel correspondent.

My flight from Frankfurt to budapest

I was the only Indian in the flight :D.Finally some uniqueness that everybody was noticing me.Or may be because I was the only non white :D. Racist huh!!!!!!

What an experience OMG @ Lufthansa

Somehow all the national carriers have a sense of security that in case they are going to get their salary at the end of the day and then why the hell should I care?

For the first time in my life I was boarding a 747, the legend that has made airbus bring out A380.The double decker. Well it was really good to see 2 floors inside a plane. But thats where all the excitment ended.Especially if you have got the Middle seat :(

The AC was not working and reason some problem and hence when they switch on the engine then the AC will be powered.Amazing experience till the time plane was ready to take off.

anyways, jokes apart, its been last 1/2 hr since I have pressed the sign for air hostess to come and give me some mints. One came pretty close but she didnt even paid attention to the sign.

Last time I travelled in Emirates and that was one experience worth remembering.Even the Dubai airport was worth seeing.

BIAL Rocks :)

Experimenting with WIFI facility @ BIAL. (Bengaluru International Airport Limited).Dunno whether its free or not.It asked me to send SMS to a no to get password.Hope so It doesnt gets charged on my mobile phone bill.Although the connection is unsecured and the web page openend said FEE INTERNET ACCESS.

Pretty decent airport.Atleast even if there are some loopholes but still they did a commendable job.Hats off to the people who made it a success.(cynics will always have a reason).

Although mood is a bit down still loving it...Right now leaving for frankfurt and then to budapest.God only knows what will I do in budapest :(.

At night the airport looks awesome.the ATC is worth looking for.And at night it glows in all its splendour.

Time to leave.next time from Frankfurt if i get time to shuffle between 2 flights.just one hour gap.hope so I am able to make it.

PS:- I played a video on youtube and it was streaming.Good job Albert Brunner

Sent by my friend to me

Forget about the Days when you've been Lonely.
But don't forget the Friendly Smiles you've seen.
Forget about the Days when it has been Cloudy.
But don't forget Your Hour in the Sun.
Forget about the Time when you've been Defeated
But don't forget the Victories you've won.
Forget about the Misfortunes which you Encountered.
But don't forget the Times your Luck has turned.
Forget about the Mistakes that you can't Change.
But don't forget the Lesson that you've learnt.

Am I getting too romantic :D

For some time, I will be in the same mood.

Song by Bryan Adams(dont like much of his songs... though...)

When you love someone - you'll do anything
you'll do all the crazy things that you can't explain
you'll shoot the moon - put out the sunwhen you love someone
you'll deny the truth - believe a lie
there'll be times that you'll believe you can really fly
but your lonely nights - have just begunwhen you love someone
when you love someone - you'll feel it deep inside
and nothin else can ever change your mind
when you want someone - when you need someone
when you need someone...
when you love someone - you'll sacrifice
you'd give it everything you got and you won't think twice
you'd risk it all - no matter what my come
when you love someone
you'll shoot the moon - put out the sunwhen you love someone

Distances do matter

Let all the romantics have a notion in their mind that "Distances makes heart go fonder".

All the ignobles out there will say... "Distances does matter"....and thats a VERDICT.

My Views

Things to do this valentine.

IF you are engaged.

1) Learn a very romantic song to play on guitar and surprise her/him ;).(Hope that your better half appreciates the same).

For singles.

1) Learn a very romantic song to play on guitar and surprise yourself.Mind you being single wont even matter anymore once you accomplish the same.

My Choice:-

Autumn leaves - Frank Sinatra. Watch this wonderful rendition by Eva Cassidy. I never knew about this but after listening to her, I listened to her other albums too

Why so much of hype and hoopla over cricket??

nobody was more happy than me when i heard the news that football viewership was more than cricket even though india won the test match series against west indies. i just dont have any intentions of underestimating their hard earned victory but somehow cricket as a game is something i think a sheer waste of time.(my personal view--not the same few years back).

why dont we proove our mettle in the game that is more popular in the world or contested by maximum no of countries. something like olympic or football or lawn tennis. may be because we lack stamina and the physical energy that these competitions demand (not our cup of tea). cricket is more of laid back style gentlemanly game.

how about shaking some dirt off and wiping out sweat too........

song:-in the end(linkin park)
mood:-joyous

Sitting in office passing time or ?? (haphazard thoughts)

Its 8.56 and am still sitting in office and listening to songs writing this.wondering whether what will i do if i go home. watch TV read a novel and then again watch TV...... most companies have made it their policy that employees should leave home by 6-7 or to be more specific lets follow a 9-5 routine and have a personal life. according to me--there shouldnt be any personal life or personal life. there should be just one life and that should keep on changing.tottaly personal or tottaly professional :):):) . i was just going through one of the blogs where the chap said that he took a long break from office just to have time with himself and indulge himself in the things around. he loved watching movies and so got some of the best collections and watched them. sounds very interesting idea to me.

for me it feels like give me my bed over here and i'll sleep and get up anytime start working and when feel tired just get up relax and again get back to work. i think these are no symptoms of being a workaholic but may be "what will i do at home" symptom(or rather what professional or personal life crap). its better if i go home to sleep and just run back to office as what will i do at home.(living a professional life)

anyways have got some work but dont feel like doing it but enjoy a lot of here and there stuff. like surfin and writing this. anyways i dont feel like doing any work in the office hours too. always the deadliner type of guy but still love wasting time like this. so that goes on to prove that i am not workaholic but alcoholic for sure.

it may or may not be that i dont love what i am doing or may be i am in the wrong job. but things get monotonous at times doing the same heck work. so nothing better than wasting time like this.

felt like going to gym in the evening but came back from half way. why?just didnt feel like going. lazy kinda or something serious creeping in. procrastinator.

have to come over it, have to regualrize my life and things around it. i know u have to but just dont feel like. just decide that there will be a day when i'll start doing it but when will that good day come.
